 The Strohgäuhalle in the municipality Höfingen with 7000 inhabitants, a part of the town Leonberg, was the centre of Europe on Saturday 20th 2009. 58 couples from 29 nations went to the European Championships Youth Latin. The evening ball began with a ceremonial presentation of all couples and the ceremony of the oath of the athletes. After that the 25 qualified couples presented themselves in the quarter final.

 The European champion title went to the Russian couple Armen Tsaturyan / Kristina Bespechnova with an outstanding performance. In 2nd place finished Vjaceslavs Visnakovs / Tereza Kizlo from Lettland: fresh and positive. In the 3rd position found themselves Vincenco Durevole / Veronica Tammaro from Italy, supported by their enthusiastic parents and friends. Kirill Kolpashchikov / Angelina Sibaeva from Russia came with very mixed marks into  forth position. The local couple Pavel Zvychaynyy / Jaqueline Cavusoglu danced full speed ahead, reached under the thunderous applause of the audience the final and occupied there place 5. Joel Lopez / Rosa Carne from Spain completed the final.

 The standard show presented by Benedetto Ferruggia / Claudia Köhler from Stuttgart was the midnight highlight and completed an excellently event in the sold-out Strohgäuhalle perfectly organized by the German club TSC Höfingen.
