2011 Grand Slam Stuttgart

WDSF Communications travels to Stuttgart, GER, where the next two Grand Slams will be part of the long-running GOC.

It will be a busy week for us, but it will be decidedly busier for the GOC organisers. A record 5,000 couples have sent their entries for the competitions of the 25th German Open Championships. 5,000!

53 nations will be represented on the floors at the Liederhalle. The starting lists are online here.

The "Live from Stuttgart" blog will be active from 16 August. And it will be REALLY active from the very moment when the first round of the 2011 WDSF Grand Slam Latin will get underway ... at 09:00 on 17 August. With nearly 500 couples enetered!

Viennese Waltz Workshop At the same time, we should also be able to provide you with a brief summary on the WDSF DanceSport Academy workshop held on 15 August. The Academy Workshop is staged at the Maritim Hotel and commences at 18:00 local time. Its focus is on the "Development of the Viennese Waltz", with the IDSF Professional Division acting as co-organiser. Slovenian pros Luca Bussoleti and Tjasa Vulic will demonstrate open choreography in the Viennese Waltz. Late registration at the door will be possible until maximum capacity of the premises is reached.
