20/02/2024 read more ...Three years ago - almost to the day - the World Latin in Vienna produced one of the most epic fights for the title in the World DanceSport Federation annals: Andrey Zaytsev and Anna Kuzminskaya, RUS, went up against Nino Langella and Khrystyna Moshenska, ITA.
Both couples went into the competition on 17 November 2012 with almost identical numbers of World Ranking points and recent results that had confirmed them as equal contenders for the win at the Stadthalle.
This year's pre-World Latin setting - in terms of the favourite couples - bears some resemblance to the one in 2012. But before we get into that, let's have another look at the World Latin of three years ago.
