Universal And Top Level 10/02/2017

The 148 athletes who will compete in one of the four different DanceSport disciplines that are featured in The World Games 2017 Wroclaw on 28 and 29 July represent 36 countries and 5 continents between them. That makes a very strong statement about the unique universality of DanceSport.

Not all the athletes' names are known at this point. But another remarkable fact is that among those who have already been entered by their WDSF Member Body for the disciplines Latin, Rock 'n' Roll and Standard are the three  # 1 of the respective World Rankings.

Only Salsa doesn't have such a ranking list. But regardless of that, the very best in this discipline will be in Wroclaw too.

One of the Salsa couples should feel the pressure of having to defend the World Games title that was won by Jefferson Benjumea - Adriana Avila, COL, in Cali 2013, and that all of Colombia expects to celebrate again in Wroclaw 2017. But Stevens Rebolledo - Yinessa Ortega should be up to the challenge, if we judge by their performance at the XI World Salsa Festival 2016 in Cali.
