WDSF DanceSport Academy 26/04/2012

WDSF DanceSport Academy

The concept of the DanceSport Academy was first presented to the WDSF General Meeting by Petr Odstrcil, CZE, in 2008.

The mission of the WDSF DanceSport Academy is to provide athletes, trainers, coaches and adjudicators with comprehensive and up-to-date information on all aspects of DanceSport.

To fulfil its mission, the academy relies on a strong online presence and makes such information available through a number of different platforms.

As a first step, a dedicated YouTube channel The WDSF Academy starts to bring educational videos to a worldwide audience.

While the content currently available on the channel is still very limited, the WDSF Education Commission, the Professional Division and the Communication Commission are committed to produce more training resources in the very near future.

A dedicated Academy website will also get rolled out prior to this year's General Meeting in June.
