World Ten Dance Seniors in Mallorca 04/05/2010

World 10 Dance Champs Senior On behalf of all the judges and officials, I would like to thank and congratulate the organizers, Gabriel Riera and his lovely wife Francisca Barcelo and their team of volunteers for hosting the very first IDSF open Senior I 10 Dance Championships.

This event took place May 1st and 2nd  at the Poliesportiu Municipal Germans Escalas in beautiful Palma, Spain

85 couples from 13 Nations were battling for top honors and with help from their own fans it promised to be an exciting event.

World Champion by Rule 11 and winning the Standard section, from Italy, Christian Bono and Elena Bono.

Followed very closely by the couple from France, Gwenael Lavigne and Stepahnie Godet winning the Latin section.

3rd place went to Spain own Jordi Mayral and Eva Aguilera battling with the 4th place couple Slawek Lukawczyk and Edna Klein from Belgium.

To complete this amazing final was Ilya Potapov and Inna Semashko from Russia taking 5th and Thorsten Strauss and Sabine Jacob from Germany placing 6th.

From the very first round until the late evening, the electric atmosphere and the support from the audience encouraged the athletes to perform to their peak.

Once again, a big thank you to Gabriel and Francisca  for their warm hospitality and superb organization.
