Johannes was an avid dancer from 1980, competing internationally through 1992. After his active career he started to dedicate much of his time as media liaison to the Austrian DanceSport Federation. In this capacity he soon became the country's "Voice of DanceSport" as commentator of the many DanceSport programmes aired by public broadcaster ORF and other channels.
From 2000 through 2008 Johannes served the World DanceSport Federation as Communications Director and as editor-in-chief of the "DanceSport Today" magazine.
On behalf of the Presidium and the entire WDSF, President Lukas Hinder expresses condolences to Dr Biba's family: "Our thoughts are with you in this time of tragic loss. Johannes will always be remembered by a big and international community of people who shared his passion for dance as sport."
