European Latin Formation It was another championship making a very strong case for Formation DanceSport. Great performances, lots of show, drama and - possibly - a few surprises to wrap it all up.

We pointed out here as well as on Facebook that the LIVE webcast was produced to very high standards by the host broadcaster Zebrra TV. We did  also mention that the scoring graphics could be improved by Zebrra or scrutineer making use of the ones WDSF has designed and makes available to all organisers.

The eight (!) hours of streaming from Kalisz were watched by cumulative 10,000. Congratulations! Maybe the fact that we had a player embedded on this website and pushed the webcast across all our social media has something to do with it too. 

Now, only a few hours later, the webcast is blocked (we assume everywhere) for reasons of copyright infringement. Organisers and National Member Bodies: instead of ignoring our existing (since 2013)

or presenting motions to the AGM to have WDSF stop its own webcasting operation (?), let us work TOGETHER WITH YOU to avoid things like this from happening. Over the past years, WDSF has amassed a wealth of experience in broadcasting in all forms and it has developed formulas, together with its music partner Casa Musica, to ensure the compliance of its productions with rights of the varied kind. Including music!
