2015 GrandSlam Latin Moscow

Stuttgart, GER - 14 August © Roland

It is the last of the five regular legs that make up the 2015 WDSF GrandSlam Series. As such it is at somewhat of a disadvantage: a few of the couples that have already qualified for the "Showdown in Shanghai," the GrandSlam Final held in December, might decide to skip this one. But fact is too that Moscow is still the leg with the second-highest participation, 296 in the Latin this year, falling only very few entries short of matching that in Stuttgart, GER.

Obviously, all the top couples from Russia are here: where else do they get to dance in front of their families and fans? So count on Armen Tsaturyan and Svetlana Gudyno, the current world #1 in the World Ranking Latin, to be dancing from round three. Yury Simachev  and Anastasia Klokotova have entered as well and look for their second podium finish in 2015. Joining them are those committed to dance in Moscow and in all five legs - even though they have their flights to China already booked on the basis of four top results that they obtained so far. When it comes to the Latin, that's Charles-Guillaume Schmitt - Elena Salikhova, FRA, Timur Imametdinov - Nina Bezzubova, GER, and a few others too.

Then there are some that should have come to Russia in order to make it to China: Marius-Andrei Balan and Khrystyna Moshenska, GER, still needed that fourth result to get their invitation to the Final.
