The 29th edition of the German Open Championships (GOC) got underway this morning as punctual as ever. The first rounds of the GOC Rising Star Latin, the Youth Open Latin as well as the Junior I and Junior II Opens Ten Dance were scheduled. The Senior III Standard starts right now! Dancing in all four halls is programme until midnight, when the final of the 2015 PD Super GrandPrix Standard will conclude. The WDSF Communications team will report on that (and on all the other rounds of the Super GP STD) once all members will be present in Stuttgart.
Those who thought that a mega event such as the GOC could be kept aloft on a wing and a prayer should take a look at how many volunteers contribute hard labour to make them the resounding success they have become. Chances are that not all of them are in the photo, some had to work when it was taken.
