It's day two and Latin is on the schedule of the GrandSlam weekend in Helsinki. After the Standard dancers put on an excellent show at all stages of the competition yesterday, it is up to their counterparts in the Latin American section to dazzle us. More than 100 couples have entered and 90+ have just danced the first round. More than half of them will drop out now, prior to the round of 48! And a select few will join the action from this point. They are the couples ranked highest in the World Ranking List, the "stars." If you look below at who these dancers are, you will probably conclude that quite a few big names are missing from the list.
To the surprise of many here, Marius-Andrei Balan and Khrystyna Moshenska, GER, didn't make it to the Finnish capital for the second year running.
