We made it: 50,000 fans on Facebook! There was a time in the not too distant past when we doubted that we would ever get to the mark of 5,000, at the time the maximum threshold for a "personal" page. We had started out as such precisely because we lacked the conviction that we would ever be "raking in the numbers." In the end we did and we thank all those who have given us their thumb up - and close to 1,000 five-star reviews. Thanks!
Who the #50K fan was we did not find out until this morning. We received a message at 5 a.m. Finland time from "NotDanil Diordiev" whose own page is very rudimentary - without any content whatsoever. It looks suspiciously like a page set up temporarily and for the sole purpose of hitting the "like" button at the appropriate moment.
But since we promised that the two vouchers for the 2016 GrandSlam Helsinki programmes would go to our #50K fan, we will certainly deliver. So NotDanil Diordiev, if you read this, please contact us by email to [email protected] ... And send us a picture too!
