The 2016 GrandSlam Helsinki is embedded into the Finland Open, an array of several different competitions that is considerably larger in terms of participation and that bills itself as Finland's biggest dance event.
The Finland Open in turn is part of an event that's downright huge: GOEXPO, a trade show for sports of the varied kind. Ball, Bicycle, Fitness - Exercise, Golf and, believe it or not, a horse fair for the fans of Equestrian Sports! How many people will flock to the Messukeskus Centre over the coming days we don't know, but their number should range in the hundreds of thousand.
Those who pay a surcharge on top of the general admission to GOEXPO get a wristband that entitles them to watch the two GrandSlams taking place on 5 and 6 March.
