Tommy Shaughnessy, IRL, is appointed member of the Presidium to fill the vacant position that had opened after former WDSF President Carlos Freitag's resignation earlier this year. Tommy, who is currently officiating at the D.O. World DanceSport in Cambrils, was informed of his appointment by WDSF President Lukas Hinder.
"I am delighted to inform you that the WDSF Presidium has voted to support the motion of the Managing Committee to include you as a member of the WDSF Presidium," Hinder wrote in a personal message to Tommy.
"Your appointment will take immediate effect till 11 June 2016. On 12 June 2016, at the WDSF Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Rome, the WDSF Presidium will propose to have you appointed as a WDSF Presidium member for a further one year until the election of a new WDSF Presidium at the WDSF AGM in June 2017.
"I welcome you on the Presidium: together we will contribute our time and efforts for the better development of WDSF. Congratulations," Hinder concluded.
