Communication Commission
The WDSF Communications Commission is the official body responsible for defining and implementing the WDSF’s global communication strategy, with the aim of promoting DanceSport worldwide and strengthening its positioning at an international sporting, cultural,
and media level.
It operates with full editorial autonomy, ensuring that every message issued on behalf of the WDSF adheres to the Federation’s core principles: truth, impartiality, integrity, transparency, responsibility, and professional excellence.
The Commission guarantees that information is accurate, timely, and relevant, actively contributing to the construction of a credible, modern, and dynamic image of DanceSport.
Transparency is a fundamental guiding principle of the Commission’s work.
Every communication is designed to make WDSF processes, decisions, and activities clear and understandable, ensuring open and verifiable access to information, in full compliance with international ethical standards and the trust of the public, athletes, and national federations.
The mission of the Commission includes:
• producing original, high-quality editorial content (news, in-depth features, interviews, athlete storytelling);
• strengthening relationships with international media to expand the WDSF’s global visibility;
• safeguarding the reputation of the Federation and DanceSport through ethical and professional communication;
• supporting the promotion of athletes, events, and recognized disciplines, fostering the dissemination of an authentic and inclusive sporting culture.
The Commission therefore acts as a strategic bridge between the WDSF, the global media landscape, and the international public, contributing to the sustainable growth of DanceSport and the promotion of its universal values.
