The idea to resort to this rather unusual setting came about in 2010. WDSF Sports Director Marco Sietas and Communications Director Roland Hilfiker looked at all available options for DanceSport in Cali: a gymnasium, a velodrome and a genuine Plaza de Toros. The latter was definitely the most convincing. Accoustics, capacity and the distinct atmosphere that such an arena is capable of generating - all of it seemed to be perfect. At the time!
Three years later we will return for the final inspection of the venue later this afternoon. We will keep you posted.
