Who's Dancing for ... FRA

He took the initative of providing WDSF with background on France's six athletes competing in the Standard, Salsa and Latin events of The World Games 2013. Bien fait, félicitations! And here's the team ... 

Charles-Guillaume Schmitt - Elena Salikhova first broke onto the international scene with their win at the 2008 World Youth Latin in Marseille, FRA. From there the couple worked its way up the world rankings for Adult and made - as of recent - quite a few finals in GrandSlam and even Championship competitions.

Charles (22) and Elena (19) were sixth at the 2013 European Latin in Krasnodar. "After my meniscus operation it was quite difficult to come back. The feelings were not the same and it took us several months of intensive work to feel good in our dancing again," Schmitt said about his recent injury.

Their best result as Adult was most definitely the second place at last year's World Latin Freestyle in Beijing, CHN. Here is their memorable performance!

Alexis Bergeon - Johanna Rivier, FRA © portdance Alexis Bergeon - Johanna Rivier are the Standard couple in the team. French Champions for two years running, they train an average of 25 hours per week under Frédéric and Sandra Mossa. Alexis is 27, Johanna 23.

Jordan Mouillerac (19) and Alexia Villemagne (18) will dance Salsa in Cali. They have been working very hard  to get ready for The World Games and even travelled once per week to Paris to do specific Salsa and ballet training there.
