One gold (Latin), one silver (Rock 'n' Roll) and one bronze (Standard) won in DanceSport helped to put Russia in first in the overall medal table by nation at The World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung, TPE.

Russia's National Committee for the Non-Olympic Sports has high hopes to see dancers on the podium in Cali, COL, too. And it should, given the caliber of the three couples that it brings to the games at the end of this month.

In Standard, it is the brother-and-sister couple made up of Sergei Konovaltsev and Olga Konovaltseva, aka "Air Konovaltsev."

They have had a great year so far, with third places in the European Standard in Aarhus, DEN, as well as the GrandSlams in Cambrils, ESP, and Hong Kong.
